Molecular tracking of insect dispersal to verify arthropod predator movement from an alfalfa field to a peach orchard

چکیده
Implementation of landscape approaches to conservation biological control programs requires the confirmation putative sources that contribute predator colonization crops. This study aims confirm dispersal from an alfalfa field a neighboring peach orchard with DNA mark-capture procedure based on topical application solution grinded brine shrimp cysts, Artemia spp. (Anostraca: Artemiidae), followed by conventional PCR. To optimize marking procedure, well-known present in orchards as well arable crops, Orius laevigatus (Fieber) (Hemiptera: Anthocoridae), was used model this study. In greenhouse trials, acquisition and retention time markings were determined, either directly spraying them or indirectly via residual contact caged plants after spray. The mark remained detectable O. 6 days, 50% tested predators positive 3 days walking sprayed plants. After that, 25m2 strip crop just cuts, several common species collected using sticky traps placed between both PCR analysis specific primers, 32% analyzed (coccinellids, anthocorids, chrysopids, mirids) showed mark. results usefulness method monitor agents case peach.

Molecular Tracking of Arthropod Predator-Prey Interactions
Local generalist predators can be exploited in conservation biological control of agricultural pests. To conserve and promote the most important predators, it is critical to have detailed knowledge about their prey range under natural conditions. I have studied predator-prey interactions between lycosid spiders from the genus Pardosa and a major aphid pest in spring-sown cereals; Rhopalosiphum ...

15 صفحه اولUtilizing immunomarking techniques to track Halyomorpha halys (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) movement and distribution within a peach orchard
In this study we focus on the invasive brown marmorated stink bug, Halyomorpha halys (Stål) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae), which has a strong dispersal capacity and has had a significant impact on several cropping systems, including peach (Prunus persica (L.)). Management of H. halys has relied on intensive insecticide use, and thus a better understanding of its dispersal behavior may assist in dev...
